Refund Policy for Tutors SA

1. Introduction

Tutors SA operates on a lesson package basis, with each package containing four weeks’ worth of lessons. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be granted for tutoring services.

2. Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds may be considered under the following circumstances:

• If Tutors SA cancels a package before any lessons have commenced, a full refund will be issued.

• If a tutor assigned to a package is no longer available and a suitable replacement cannot be provided, a pro-rated refund may be issued for the remaining lessons.

• In cases of exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies), refunds may be granted at the discretion of Tutors SA.

3. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be granted in the following cases:

• If a student/parent voluntarily discontinues tutoring after the package has commenced.

• If a student fails to attend a scheduled lesson without proper cancellation notice (as per the General Terms and Conditions).

• If a student arrives late, as tutors are not obligated to extend lesson time.

• If a student is dissatisfied with the tutor’s teaching style but an alternative tutor has been offered.

4. Cancellation and Refund Requests

• Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to ruth@tutorssa.co.za.

• Requests should include the reason for cancellation, student details, bank account details and any supporting documentation if applicable.

• Tutors SA will review each request and respond within 7 business days.

5. Refund Processing

• Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days via EFT.

• Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.

6. Changes to Refund Policy

Tutors SA reserves the right to amend this refund policy at any time. Any updates will be communicated via our website and official communication channels.
